THE REVOLUTION OF...
BRIDLE No. 04
A completely new and unique noseband! The vision for the bridle has been in Karin's thoughts for a long time, but bringing it to life took time. A manufacturing method that requires both great skill and precision has been developed to create this bridle.
Now the bridle is finally here, and the wait has been worth it!
ENGLISH NOSEBAND
THE BRIDLE THAT WILL CHANGE THE INDUSTRY
This noseband is our pride and forms the foundation of the entire OCTA CONCEPT. We chose the name OCTA, which comes from "octagon," meaning eight-sided. If you look at the horse's head in cross-section beneath the cheek, an octagonal shape emerges, with the bridge of the nose at the top.
An English noseband is a popular choice for both training and competition. Through our unique OCTA CONCEPT, we have taken this classic noseband to the next level. The entire noseband is shaped according to the octagonal structure, following the horse’s natural contours. To enhance comfort, we’ve also created a cut-out at the tooth line. The noseband is padded throughout for added comfort. This English noseband suits most horses and offers both functionality and elegance.
At the center of the noseband is the distinctive OCTA symbol.
NOSEBAND WITH 8-SIDED SHAPE.
Here, it's clearly visible that the noseband has an 8-sided shape with a soft cushion placed at the top of the nose bridge. The noseband is also "cracked," meaning it already has an 8-sided form. This allows you to have the noseband slightly looser without creating large gaps, which can often happen with a round noseband, causing it to shift on the horse's head.
At the cheek area, where a standard noseband usually sits directly on the teeth, often causing sores and other equipment-related issues, we have added a cutout. This cutout allows the horse's cheek to "bulge out" without being pinched.
RECOMMENDED FOR:
ALL HORSES that go well on an English noseband as well as those using a DOUBLE BRIDLE
MOUTH/TEETH PROBLEMS where you want to leave as much space as possible in the mouth without pressure
Horses with a THICK TONGUE that make the mouth feel crowded
INSTABILITY
PADDED IN ALL THE RIGHT PLACES
HEADPIECE that protects the TMJ
The headpiece of this bridle, like all our others, is softly padded along the ear. It features a small "tunnel" where the mane can comfortably fit, but most importantly, the headpiece includes a perfectly positioned cushion to protect the TMJ (temporomandibular joint), which, simply put, is the joint where the lower jaw attaches to the skull. It is considered the most sensitive joint in the horse’s body and can be compared to our temples.
COMMON PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH TMJ PAIN
- Head shaking
- Sensitive ears, head-shyness, reluctance to be bridled
- Tendency to place the tongue over the bit
- Tension in the neck
- Prefers to carry the head slightly tilted
The browband is easy to change but has a fixed position, so it cannot move up or down.
